  I have said before in reviews that it can be tough judging a fast food place, or even a sit-down restaurant, in one visit, but there are so many choices out there we sort of have to do it sometimes.  
  
  We stopped at this branch of Checkers on our way home from a stay in Orlando. There was no inside seating, just tables with umbrellas outside, but that was fine. We opted for the 2 for $5 double fish sandwiches and a medium order of the fries. There was no doubt that it was cooked up fresh for us, for it was all hot, rather than lukewarm from sitting around. It was great. The fries were not at all generous for the price, but they are crispier and better than most, and besides, we try to cut down on consuming carbs.  
  
  Add to that the fact that soft serve cones, (I know, more carbs!) unlike McD's, are still $1, and you get a tasty fast food lunch for 10 bucks. We don't do fast food very often, but this was the best in a long time.

  So tonight I went thru the drive thru at Checkers by my house ... I ordered the new Texas Toast burger meal and the baconator meal ( my usual) they were fast and pleasant when I got to the window
  
  My Baconator as usual was delicious cooked perfectly and perfectly hot fries but there wasn't alot of them at all ...
  
  My Boyfriend's Texas Toast Burger he stated the bread was hard on the edges and fried onions weren't so crispy and his fries were good but there wasn't alot of them either
  
  This is a good place to stop and get something quick to bring home and not to hard on the wallet depending on what you get of course

  So today was take out night and we picked checkers I got the Texas toast double combo, and all thought that might sound nice it's not the toast is hard and and the fried onions is just over kill I would not recommend ordering this meal.... Definitely a one star place . I thought steak and shake was bad I was soooo wrong

  The service here is pretty bad. I've only been here a handful of times, but they have gotten my order wrong each and every time...sometimes for the better, but that isn't the point. They also tend to be sloppy when it comes to their food; I'm not expecting to be given the exact burger that I saw in the commercial, but having all the cheese, lettuce and onions on the outside of my wrapper isn't what I expected.
  
  With that being said, they do offer good value and they have some tasty shakes/fries/desserts. This is definitely not a place I'd visit often, but if you're in the mood for a shake with fries, this is a good choice.

  The employees are unnecessarily rude, very slow moving, and unsanitary. They present an attitude to any customer request for napkins, or condiments. They don't wash their hands, or use gloves; the young lady who took our order, and handled the cash payment immediately started preparing our food without washing her hands first. The only reason they aren't getting 0 star's is because the food was hot, and tasty. I would recommend the extra 10 minutes drive to the next closest Checker's.
